We are also home to the Chesapeake Figure Skating Club, a locally run, non profit organization dedicated to advancing the sport and art of figure skating here in north central Maryland. Group Lessons IceWorld offers a comprehensive group lesson program for youngsters age 4 and up, including adults. Our philosophy is to provide top notch, professional instruction for beginner through advanced skaters in a relaxed and fun environment. Learn to Skate is based on the fundamentals of the U.S. Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and is necessary for those wishing to proceed on to ice hockey or freestyle.   Adults Lessons - NEW!! If you used to skate in childhood, or have always wanted to, we have a program for you! Professionals conduct lessons on Sunday evenings. Beginners welcome - bring a friend! Parent & Child Share the Fun of Ice Skating With Your Children! Great for ALL Children. Music, Fun, Games and Instruction on the Ice. Enjoy the ice without the crowds! Freestyle Classes Freestyle Lessons are for individuals who have completed IceWorld's LEARN TO SKATE program or have passed all of their USFSA Basic Skills. The new Artistry In Motion or AIM program is designed to educate skaters on the principles and philosophy of choreography and style. The program will give them a foundation in basic body alignment, movement and line. Youth Synchro Team IceWorld is proud to offer a unique opportunity to learn the fun and exciting sport of Synchronized Team Skating! Under the direction of Lauren Benesch, World Synchronized Championship competitor... Figure Skating Schedule Special Announcements Fifty minute sessions at prime times are now available throughout the week. Practice Sessions are for Freestyle, Dance and Moves. Limit of 25 skaters per session. First come - First served.
