Group Lessons

IceWorld offers a comprehensive group lesson program for youngsters age 4 and up, including adults. Our philosophy is to provide top notch, professional instruction for beginner through advanced skaters in a relaxed and fun environment. Learn to Skate is based on the fundamentals of the U.S. Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and is necessary for those wishing to proceed on to ice hockey or freestyle.

Daytime Lessons

Great for pre-school and home-taught children. Enjoy the ice without the crowds! Our philosophy is to provide top notch, professional instruction for beginner through advanced skaters in a relaxed and fun environment. Our Daytime Lessons are based on the fundamentals of United States Figure Skating (USFS) and are necessary for those wishing to proceed on to ice hockey or freestyle. Lessons are held on Tuesday mornings at 11am.

Adults Only

If you used to skate in childhood, or have always wanted to, we have a program for you! Get started with our Group Lessons for Adults Only on Monday or Thursday evenings or Tuesday Mornings. Come to the same class time each week or try our new program where you choose among all three class times to best suit your busy schedule. And as always - bring a friend!

Freestyle Lessons

Freestyle Lessons are for skaters who have completed IceWorld's LEARN TO SKATE program or have passed the USFS Basic Eight Level. Through the Freestyle Classes, skaters will develop proper jump and spin techniques as well as learning selected moves in the field. Now offered at two convenient times each week, Monday evenings at 6:30pm or Saturday mornings at 10am.

Pre-Preliminary, Preliminary, and Pre-Juvenile Moves in the Field Lessons are now available in a group setting at Ice World. Use these lessons to begin your Moves training or augment the time you spend in private instruction.

Skaters interested in Adapted Learn to Skate lessons can contact Heather Piepenburg, Ice World Skating Director, and she will work with you to set up a program that best suits the skater’s needs. We offer private, semi-private and group skating lessons.

Bring the entire family together for skating lessons! We offer top notch instruction with special pricing for additional family members, Saturdays, 10:00-10:30am!

School Year Mini-Camps

This is the place to be when school is out! Any day that Harford County Public Schools are closed, we are here for you with Full-Day mini camps from 9 am to 3:30 pm. These camp days are an outstanding opportunity to increase skating competency while enjoying the fun and recreation in ice skating. We have tracks for Basic Skills, Freestyle, and Competitive Freestyle skaters.
