Youth Programs
It's the coolest sport on earth! And you can learn to play right here at IceWorld. We offer a variety of 'learn to play' programs for youth through adults. We offer outstanding coaching as well as reasonable ice times and a schedule that can meet your needs.
Combined Power Skating Class with a Stick & Puck Session
Join us for this special one hour program. During the first half hour, polish your power skating skills with instruction provided by our exceptional staff of hockey pros. During the second half hour, knock the puck around with family and friends. All ages are welcome.
The Power Skating Class is designed to improve the speed and mobility of hockey players of all ages and abilities. The class includes edge work, forward stride, and quick starts. The skating skills and skating drills are all hockey specific. Full gear is required to participate in this class.
If you come just for the Stick & Puck aspect of this session and you are under 18, you are required to have a Helmet with a full cage, gloves, shin pads, skates and a stick. Elbow pads and pants are also suggested. Time: Saturdays, 8:15 to 9:15 am
Cost: $12 per session for the first family member. $7 per session for each additional family member.
Each session is limited to the first 30 skaters. |

Hockey Basics
Ice World offers high quality Hockey Basics instruction for boys and girls, ages 4 to15. Each program is 6 weeks long, can be repeated, and when successfully completed, will prepare the child for Recreational League play.

Hockey Basics 2: Youth In-House Hockey League
The Youth In-House Hockey League is open to all roller or ice hockey players who have completed Hockey Basics or another clinic/instruction program. It is for boys and girls ages 8-12 years old. The goal of the league is to have scrimmge games for young skaters who are not ready for North Stars, but are ready for the next step after Hockey Basics. The Spring Series begins Sunday, March 20, 4-5pm and continues for 5 weeks.
The Program will focus on Game rules including off-sides, icing and line changes as well as offensive and defensive playing skills.
Full Gear is required.

Stick & Puck

U-10 Pick Ups - Wednesdays, June 1st,8th,15th, 6:30-7:30pm
These programs allow youth players to enjoy supervised scrimmages in a safe atmosphere. It is only $10 for an hour of ice and a great time playing hockey! Full Gear Required. Goalies Free. Open to all skills levels. Coaches will be on the ice.

Girls Summer Pick Ups - Starting June 22!
Ice World is pleased to announce this new program for girls of all ages who have experience playing at a club-hockey level. Girls will be divided into age-appropriate shifts and play against other girls their own age. Drop-in, or register for the 9 week summer session at a significant discount. Parent's signed registration form required, either way. Wednesdays at 7:15pm, starting June 22nd.

Youth Hockey Skills Clinic
Mondays, March & April, 6:30-7:30pm
Each Week we will focus on a different skill for the first 40 minutes of class time. The remaining 20 minutes are for open practice with assistance from coaches. Your Instructors: Jason Slucher, Ed Slusher, Bob Jones, Joe Vonakis. Just $12.
